Estimates, Inspections and Service Calls (except bats)$100

In order to properly assess a wildlife problem an inspection is almost certainly required.  The inspection fee is then rolled into the cost of any work performed by C&C Wildlife Management and is guaranteed for 1 month from the date of inspection as more problems may occur after that.

Squirrel trapping and exclusion: (Gray and Red)....$325 for 5 days

This a flat rate based on five days of trapping and an unlimited number of squirrels and includes the initial inspection.  When dealing with live traps a technician will check the traps once every 24 hours in accordance with Conservation law.  In some cases one way doors will be installed to prevent re-entry.  If trapping efforts exceed five days, due to an excessively high population, a $60 per day fee will be assessed.  There is a one year warranty against squirrel re-entry that covers workmanship but will not cover accidental entry due to an open window/door etc..  The warranty can be extended on an annual basis for $75 per year and per site.  Add $100 for flying squirrels due to the fact they can fit in smaller areas than the grays or reds and prevention thus more detailed.

Skunks, Woodchucks, Raccoons, Opossum....$350 for 5 days

This is also a flat rate and includes the initial inspection and is based on 5 days of trapping and four animals but of course extends at the same rate if there is an exceedingly high population. When dealing with live traps a technician will check the traps once every 24 hours in accordance with Conservation law.  Animals will be removed and traps reset as needed. If these animals are in a building and can be excluded with a one way door then one will be installed in accordance the labor and materials rate.  In some cases one way doors will be installed to prevent re-entry.  If trapping efforts exceed five days, due to an excessively high population, a $65 per day fee will be assessed.  There is a one year warranty against squirrel re-entry that covers workmanship but will not cover accidental entry due to an open window/door etc..  The warranty can be extended on an annual basis for $75 per year and per site.

Dead Animal removal....$150

This includes the initial service call of $100 and removing any one carcass.  If the animal cannot be removed then only the service call fee is charged.

Live Animal removal....$150 (add $25 after hours 8pm-8am)

This service includes the initial service call of $100 and any one animal captured live in the yard or residence including the chimney.  If the animal cannot be removed then only the service fee is charged.  Add $25 for each additional animal.

Mice, Moles/Voles, Chipmunks etc....$250 for one week. There is also an annual service for $450. This includes the initial inspection and trapping, sealing entrances and 4 quarterly inspections or as needed for one year

Glue traps, snap traps and live traps and mole spikes are all used for these nuisance species depending on the situation.  Traps are reset every 2-3 days to provide the best opportunity to catch the most animals and because these are unprotected species.

Bat in living space (8am-8pm)....$150 plus $75 if found and removed

Bat in living space after hours.....…$150 plus $75 if found and removed

Water and Foothold trapping

Beaver$600 base price (covers 10 days of trapping) & $60 per beaver

Muskrat$300 base price (covers 10 days of trapping) & $10 per muskrat

Fox/ Coyote$450 base price (covers 10 days if trapping) & $50 per fox/coyote

Deer$500 base price (covers 5 days of hunting) & $100 per deer

These species can cause considerable damage with flooding, property damage to flora/fauna and are vectors for wildlife diseases such as rabies and lyme disease.  Beaver and muskrat are taken with a conibear trap or cable restraint that is placed in the water travel ways.  Both cannot be trapped live and transported to another site.  Both these species require the landowner to obtain a permit from the DEC that may also require a site visit from the DEC and to name C&C Wildlife Management as the agent to take that species.  Coyote and Fox are taken with foothold traps or can be called and hunted.  Foothold traps do not have teeth and make it possible to release any non-target species that may also be caught.  Also, they may require an additional permit be obtained from the DEC depending on the type of damage experienced.  Both these species also cannot be live trapped and transported to another location.   Deer culling is usually done to reduce the population and thus reduce the damage to crops and ornamental plants.  Deer cannot be trapped alive in New York State.  They can be hunted during the regular bow and/or firearms hunting season provided that the landowner has a 500’ safety zone and or written permission of all landowners within 500’.  Outside the regular hunting seasons a permit needs to be obtained by the landowner from the DEC and name C&C Wildlife Management as the agent to take deer from the property – the 500’ safety zone requirement would still be in effect.

Labor Rates:

Any labor which includes but is not limited to wire (bat) exclusion and/or repair of wildlife related damage is $90/hour.  Materials are separate and a one time fee of $10 is added to obtain any materials necessary.  Any wire exclosures that are installed come with a three year extendable warranty ($75 annually) against repair and while under warranty if any critter gets past that exclosure I will trap/remove that animal for free.

Residential Senior citizen discount:

C&C Wildlife Management offers seniors (60 yrs+) a discount on selected services. Seniors must show proof of age and must reside/own the address being serviced.
